About the event

I am hosting the MEAT-ING event with the goal of reversing the negative information spread regarding meat consumption today. People need to get educated in numerous aspects of this important topic. I believe this should be done with respect and knowledge. We are a large following who believe in this cause and in order to spread the word, I have invited speakers from all over the world for this two-day event.

The event will take place in the city of Malmoe in the Greater Copenhagen region.

The conference will cover meat from different perspectives. Anthropological, religious, farming, current affairs, climate, medical, nutrition and the opposite plant toxins. An important purpose of the event is to get media attention to this important topic due to the current misinformation regarding the meat industry.

SPEAKERS

Shawn Baker MD

is a life long competitor and multi sport world record holding athlete. He is a Physician, Author, Speaker, Influencer and Father. His controversial views on nutrition have inspired tens of thousands to reclaim their health, while at the same time have drawn the ire of many of those from nutrition establishment.

L Amber O'Hearn

is a data scientist by profession with a background in math, computer science, linguistics, and psychology. She has been studying and experimenting with low-carb, ketogenic diets since 1997, and more recently writing and speaking about her findings.  Amber has been eating a plant-free diet since 2009.

Joel Salatin

calls himself a Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist lunatic farmer. Others who like him call him the most famous farmer in the world, the high priest of the pasture, and the most eclectic thinker from Virginia since Thomas Jefferson. Those who don’t like him call him a bio-terrorist, Typhoid Mary, charlatan, and starvation advocate.

Sally K. Norton MPH

is creating a new awareness about a neglected topic in nutrition: how oxalate in foods impact our health.

Her nutrition degree is from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Public Health. She’s had a decades long career promoting health, wellness, and holistic healing.

Her company, My Food Matters, LLC, provides health and nutrition consultations, speaker services, and tools for recovery from oxalate-related health problems.

RAPHAEL SIRTOLI

has an MSc in Molecular Biology and is a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the Behavioral n’ Molecular Lab in Portugal. His understanding of metabolism, nutrition and clinical medicine is the base upon which Nutrita’s knowledge derives from. He loves open scientific debate, Crossfit, football, psychedelic medicines, hiking and cold water immersion."

Belinda Fettke

I am the proud wife of Dr Gary Fettke and a former Registered Nurse.

Following Gary’s ‘star chamber’ investigation by the AHPRA Medical Board of Tasmanian for 2 1/2 years, I have taken a more central role supporting Gary, and challenging the role of Vested Interests and Ideology in the shaping of our dietary and health guidelines.

Discovering the influence of Religious Ideology, with an anti-meat agenda, was unexpected 5 years ago. I have since come to understand ‘when Ideology and Vested Interests align, they become very powerful allies…’

FREDERIC LEROY

holds a professorship in the field of food science and (bio)technology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. His (often interdisciplinary) research not only deals with the roles of bacterial communities in animal foods, but also with the role of animal foods inhuman communities. In other words, animal foods are at the very centre of his interests, ranging from the micro to the macro level.

DIANA RODGERS

is a “real food” nutritionist living on a working organic farm near Boston, Massachusetts. She’s an author, runs a clinical nutrition practice, hosts the Sustainable Dish Podcast, and is an advisory board member of Animal Welfare Approved and Savory Institute. She speaks internationally about the intersection of optimal human nutrition and regenerative agriculture. Her new documentary film and book project, Sacred Cow: The Case For Better Meat, will launch in the summer of 2020.

Peter Ballerstedt

He received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1986, specializing in forage management and utilization, minoring in ruminant nutrition. Peter has extensive experience in forage agriculture.  His study of human nutrition is fueled by his personal experience. What he’s learned doesn’t agree with the dietary advice we’ve been given for more than 50 years. This understanding, combined with his forage background, has strengthened his interest in THE truly sustainable agriculture – the production of ruminant animal products!

zsófia clemens phd

is a biologist and clinical researcher specialized in nutrition, nutritional therapy, and brain research. She is the co-founder and CEO of ICMNI / Paleomedicina Hungary. She is involved in patient care, education, doing scientific research and publishing. Her research areas include ketosis, vitamin D, dietary interventions in cancer and autoimmune diseases as well as electroencephalography of sleep and epilepsy. Currently, intestinal permeability is in the focus of her research. The research group led by her was the first group ever publishing on the normalization of an elevated intestinal permeability due to a dietary intervention.

GARY FETTKE

Orthopaedic surgeon

He has seen the benefits of an LCHF lifestyle for both himself and his patients. He incurred the wrath of medical regulators and the cereal industry for promoting that advice publicly. Continues to see the central role of nutrition not only with our health but also from an environmental aspect.

Maria Emmerich RD

Maria Emmerich is a nutritionist who specializes in the ketogenic diet and exercise physiology. She struggled with her health and weight throughout childhood which lead her to become such a passionate nutrition expert. "My goal is to help transform people's lives and start living again!" Maria specializes in brain neurotransmitters and how food can increase mental wellness. Her expertise has sent her around the World speaking about ketogenic diets.

miki ben-dor

is a Paleoanthropologist at Tel Aviv University, concentrating on reconstructing of the human diet throughout human evolution. Miki takes advantage of his unique background in economics (BA) and business administration (MBA) to develop and apply a bioenergetic economic model that explains critical developments in human physiological, behavioral and cultural evolution by the need of humans to obtain an obligatory portion of the diet from animal fat and the gradual extinction of large prey animals.

Dawn Christine Leighton MD

is an Emergency Medicine physician and mother of two. She was born with a genetic connective tissue disorder, Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She also suffers from autoimmune illnesses. For the past two decades, she has struggled with declining health including severe chronic pain due to HEDS. After changing to a carnivore diet, her pain was greatly improved and autoimmune illness are in remission. For Dr. Leighton, eating a meat-based diet has greatly improved her quality of life.

craig emmerich

graduated in Electrical Engineering and has always had a systems approach to his work. He is also an international best selling author. He followed his wife Maria into the nutrition field and has since dedicated his time researching and looking at nutrition and biology from a systems perspective. Over the last 10 plus years he has worked with hundreds of clients along side Maria to help them heal their bodies and lose weight leveraging their biology and a ketogenic lifestyle to make it easy.

andrew scarborough

Andrew Scarborough (BSc) is a brain cancer researcher and long term survivor of a highly vascular anaplastic astrocytoma brain tumour. He is currently working at Imperial College London on a research project testing a new formulation of exogenous ketones on rodent models of GBM.

Andrew was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour after suffering a brain haemorrhage in 2013 whilst studying for a masters degree in Nutritional Therapy at the University of Westminster. In 2017 Andrew was featured in an article in New Scientist magazine detailing how he has attempted to manage his disease and brain tumour related epilepsy thanks to a highly personalised ketogenic diet. Over time he had successfully managed to achieve ‘complete remission’ of disease and has since been able to gradually come off all anti-epileptic drugs in part thanks to metabolic therapies, management of electrolytes and lifestyle alterations. It is difficult to definitively prove what has led to these encouraging scan results, however the alleviation of the once debilitating symptoms associated with significant brain damage is certainly notable and interesting.

csaba tóth

is a physician and researcher from Hungary with 20 year’s experience in intensive care medicine, internal medicine and family medicine. I am using the paleolithic-ketogenic nutrition in the treatment of chronic medical illnesses including diabetes, cancer, autoimmune diseases and epilepsy for six years. In our research program, we explore the relationship between intestinal and other membrane permeability in cancer and autoimmune diseases.

About me

Started my own healthjourney back in 2012. Had prior to that started running, back in 2009, and despite my increased volume of training my belly wouldn't shrink! Something in me said that the calorie in and calorie out hypothosis wasn't right. Started to educate my self and went lowcarb in the beginning of 2013, and for a period of three months my 5 kg (11 pounds) around my belly had dissapered. Felt amazing, but my skin problems was still there and despite prescribed creams and medicine it didn't vanish.
Heard about the carnivore movenment in 2017, people who were on a animalbased diet saw huge improvements in their health! With my curiosity I decided to give it a try and never looked back. My rosacea dissapered and I have never felt better. The more I have read in on the subject the more convinced I'am that this is the species appropriate diet for humans.
The reason why I'm hosting this event is that meat is getting such a bad wrap in this day and age, and I truly believe that we need to educated people. This should be done with with respect and not flawed science. My daytime work is at the Swedish Unemployment Agency where I work as a civil cervant.
This carnivore conference is going to be a blast, and I hope that you will join us.
